Cleveland Engineering Society

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: The Cleveland Engineering Society is a nonprofit professional organization, with a membership that represents the diversity of the engineering and technology spectrum in northeast Ohio.

MISSION: To serve the educational and professional development needs of technical professionals and their employers, encourage young people to pursue careers in science and engineering, and foster the exchange of information and ideas to advance development and recognition of the region as a technology center.

EVENTS

  • Two premier conferences – the Design & Construction Conference, now in its 57th year of serving and educating the design and construction community; and a fall conference addressing topics such as sustainability, innovation, and manufacturing from a multidisciplinary viewpoint.
  • The Leadership Breakfast Series, the long-running engineering and technology leaders’ forum, now in its 33rd season of spotlighting Northeast Ohio’s successes in technology and economic development.
  • Behind-the-Scenes tours providing an engineers-eye view of everyday operations within local companies and facilities.
  • The New Faces of Engineering RoadShow, CES’ signature pipeline program created to inform and excite Northeast Ohio students about the profession of engineering and the many career opportunities it offers.
  • New and revitalized division and committee programming.
  • Other exciting events include our Annual Meeting, annual golf outing fundraiser, our new Building a Sustainable Future Symposium, and our First Friday Social at McNulty’s Bier-Markt.
